I can’t believe my eyes, my copy of this is so dark as to look like you’re watching through high denier tights. I’m so shocked and disappointed especially after doing my due diligence with videos like this

The 2014 edit was amazing... but the 4K remaster just added something.

That blue colors looks incredible!!! (1:44), some skin colour are saturated, BUT DNR ruined the entire movie!!!!!!!! VERY disappointed.

Yikes too much DNR with this release. They did really well with the first movie, wonder why they'd apply so much DNR this time.

I'm curious how this compares to the Shout Factory Blu-ray.

The sharpness seems hit and miss, but the colors are spot on. The reds and blues really pop. Some skintones seem a bit too saturated and warm but I think this is worlds better than the bluray we currently have. Thanks for the video, always love your comparisons.

For those wondering, RoboCop's suit purposefully had a blue tint to it in this movie since its theatrical release. Thanks for the upload too, Moon.

I've triple dipped on this, getting the regular Blu-ray and then the hard to find DigiBook now I got the 4K and honestly I don't see any improvements from the digiBook version to the 4K. The only time I can see differences is when I watch comparison videos. Ha.

Watching comparison videos i think any 4k post 2005 is going to look about the same. Think about it - you can only 4k “scan” 35mm film. You can only enhance a film that was shot on digital cameras.

Whoever color graded the 4k version needs to be fired. 2009 version is way better.

This is impressive. By far one the greatest upgrades ever from Paramount. I honestly don't know if Paramount finally learned their lesson at restoring films, or if their were fans of proper restoration working on this release. Usually, Paramount is awful at 4Ks. Not this one though. Fantastic.

It's, a really nice transfer, some of the scenes looking completely different in terms of colour grading, a lot of scenes improving skin details and textures then the strange odd decision to pump up some colours that actually looked quite natural on blu ray, the blu ray was pretty good looking though this 4k has the edge on the finer details, there's beads of sweat on actors faces that are apparent, on the blu ray, the colours can be muted and sometimes skin tones appeared either too waxy or ran too hot in any given scene. Iam glad they gave this a very faithful video transfer and the dolby vision HDR really helps elevate those black levels pushing colours and white levels more accurately

4K looks like the life and charm has been sucked out of it...

Is the 4K an upscale of the blu ray or a new remaster taken from the actual files?

I am impressed with this i can see a huge different unlike a lot of 4k upgrade of older films but this one stands out

Have watched this through twice in 4k. Fantastic movie with a great transfer. A must for any collection.

Proves the Blu-ray was already near perfect. Not much room to improve. Thankfully they didn't try to get superfluously flippant with alledged "upgrade" augmentations which undermine the integrity of the intended aesthetic presentation.

Looks like a good transfer and the black levels are definitely an upgrade over the blue ray. For me that’s enough to buy it again, love this movie.
